( CNN)– A dog with just one ear definitely has an eye for painting.

Like lots of other canines, Van Gogh can do lots of techniques. However the one-eared dog has a much more distinct skill in his creative capabilities.

The dog was called after the artist who cut off his own ear.

Van Gogh was saved from a North Carolina dogfighting ring. His ear remained in such bad shape at the time, it needed to be cut off.

Jaclyn Gartner, the creator of Gladly Furever After Rescue in Connecticut, assists him paint by positioning gobs of paint on a canvas, then moving the canvas into a plastic bag covered with peanut butter. When he licks the peanut butter off, the paint is smeared around to make a style.

Van Gogh just recently had a gallery program to raise cash and perhaps discover him a long-term house, however just 2 individuals appeared.
