Dog walking can now profit you, your canine, and animals in want, because of an annual “challenge.”

Initiated by animal well being firm, Boehringer Ingelheimin partnership with fundraising app, WoofTraxthe Step Up for Shelter Challenge has launched this month. This initiative permits contributors to contribute to animal shelters by merely walking their dogs utilizing the WoofTrax app.

According to Dr. Julie Ryan-Johnson, affiliate director of shelters at Boehringer Ingelheim, this yr’s problem is open for financial and product donations. “Through the 2023 Step Up for Shelters Challenge we can work together to protect shelter dogs in need. Take a step with us and make a difference by supporting the well-being of animals through this incredible initiative,” says Dr. Ryan-Johnson.

Challenge contributors might join via the WoofTrax app. Each walk will lead to a dose of a parasite prevention product being donated to a shelter canine in want. The problem will donate as much as 25,000 doses, valued at $825,000. Additionally, every walk will earn 5 cents for the participant’s chosen WoofTrax animal charity, with a most whole problem donation of $10,000.
