A dog-walker who passed away after being struck by a motorcyclist in Norwich has actually been called as an inquest into her death opened.
Lucy Machin passed away in Addenbrooke’s Health center in Cambridge on Saturday, November 19. She was 55.
Her death came following an event on November 17, when she was strolling her dog on Colman Roadway, Eaton, when she was struck by a blue and white Yamaha 125 bike.
The crash took place at around 7.20 am close to the roadway’s junction with South Park Opportunity.
An inquest into her death opened in Norwich on Thursday and heard that Mrs Machin was born in Excellent Yarmouth and resided in Westgate Close in Norwich’s Golden Triangle.
Location coroner Johanna Thompson included that Mrs Machin worked as a counsellor and passed away of terrible brain injuries as an outcome of a roadway traffic crash.
The motorcyclist associated with the event suffered small injuries. The dog was unhurt.
The inquest was adjourned till June 19, 2023.
