Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office has began a demise investigation after a canine walker found a person’s physique in a wooded space.
That’s in line with an announcement issued Thursday morning by Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Tim Parkin.
Deputies responded to the physique discovery round 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.

The canine walker reported seeing the physique on the bottom in a wooded space close to the Gordon W. Yeager Wildlife Management Area and Silver Creek Road Northeast, which is north of Hwy. 14 and east of Rochester’s Quarry Hill Nature Center.
Parkin stated the corpse is believed to have been within the components for a prolonged time period, saying the physique’s extended publicity to the weather prevented investigators from figuring out the deceased person on the scene.
Officials haven’t disclosed the gender of the physique. So far there’s no indication whether or not or not foul play is suspected and its unknown how lengthy the physique could have been on the location it was found.
The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and took possession of the physique. Parkin stated the demise investigation is ongoing.
