City of Abilene Dog Training Classes Summer 2023

Course Instructor: Stephanie DeYoung

Location: Cobb Park Recreation Center (2302 State Street)

Enroll for Tuesday or Thursday Night

Tuesday June sixth – July 18th (No class Tuesday July fourth)

Thursday June 8th – July 13th

**No dogs the opening night of class**

Puppy Basics: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Puppies 10 weeks to under 7 months of age – Learn how to manage regular puppy concerns such as potty training, chewing, leaping, walking on a leash, and more all while making discovering enjoyable and reliable for both you and your puppy.

*Please bring evidence of a minimum of 2 Distemper/parvo vaccines if puppy is under 12 weeks of age by week 2 of class, if puppy is over 12 weeks of age, Bordetella is needed and over 16 weeks, rabies is needed-(vaccines need to be provided by a vet)*

Beginner Basics: 7:15pm – 8:15pm

Basic Obedience abilities for dogs over 7 months of age – Learn basic obedience principles all dogs need to understand while making discovering enjoyable and reliable for both you and your dog. No dog is too old to learn brand-new abilities.

*Please bring evidence of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations to very first class(vaccines need to be provided by a vet)*
