JENSEN BEACH, Fla. — A SWAT group’s tense confrontation throughout a drug bust in South Florida took a lighter flip when a canine bolted from the entrance door of a residence and sprinted into the again of an armored car, authorities stated.

In a Facebook postthe Martin County Sheriff’s Office stated that the SWAT group had executed a search warrant in Jensen Beach through the early hours of Nov. 21.
“With every search warrant, you usually have a runner,” the sheriff’s workplace wrote on Facebook. “But this time, the runner seemed like he was more interested in jumping to the law enforcement side while a house full of suspects were being arrested.”
That is when a canine named Bear bolted from the cell home at 251 NE Vine St., sprinted previous detectives and jumped into the sheriff’s workplace’s car — an armored BearCat, WPEC-TV reported.
According to the sheriff’s workplace, 5 folks have been arrested: Cathy Glad, 62, David Burdge, 64, Trevontay Daniels, 40, Antonio Giles, 38 and Ariella Messina, 27.
Deputies stated that Daniels, who was the primary goal within the search, had allegedly been driving from West Palm Beach to Stuart to promote narcotics, WPEC reported. According to the sheriff’s workplace, deputies recovered cocaine, brass knuckles, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia from the residence, in line with the tv station.
As for Bear, he was content material to take a seat at the back of the SWAT car and watch occasions unfold.
“The dog sought refuge in the SWAT vehicle and patiently waited until it was all over,” Martin County Sheriff William Snyder instructed WPEC. “I think Bear had all he could ‘bear’ on that case and was glad to be in police hands.”
The suspects on this case face a number of costs, the sheriff’s workplace stated.
