BOSTON — A Boston Police officer was hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon after being assaulted by a dog on Michigan Avenue in Dorchester.
Police state they were trying to jail a suspect with numerous arrest warrants when among the officers was assaulted by 2 dogs simply after 1:30 p.m. A 2nd officer then utilized his gun to shoot both dogs.
One of the dogs was killed, while the other was hurt.
Both the bitten officer and their partner who fired their weapon were transferred to a location healthcare facility for non-life-threatening injuries.
Video from the scene reveals lots of police car and private investigators reacting to the occurrence.
No other individuals were hurt.
There was no word on the condition or breed of the dog.
The examination stays continuous.
