A canine was rescued from the St. Joseph River in South Bend on Thursday morning.
The canine named ‘Ollie” was not on a leash and bought away from his proprietor who lives close to the river.
The proprietor says Ollie chased some geese and ventured out on to the frozen river and fell by the ice.
Firefighters got here and bought Ollie out of the chilly water.
He was solely within the water for about 10 minutes.
