It was a frightening night for one dog in Cork City after she fell under the River Lee however a ‘pawsome’ river rescue by the Cork City Fire Brigade resulted in her safe go back to dry land.
On Sunday night, a passer-by looked out to the weeps of the dog originating from the river listed below Camden Quay.
Emergency services were called and Cork City Fire Brigade shown up on the scene to rescue the dog who was “extremely cold and afraid.”
The fire brigade’s speedy water rescue team reduced a rescue basket stretcher to take the puppy out of the freezing water.
Wrapping her up in a red blanket, the little dog was put onto the basket prior to she was raised back up and over the quay wall.
In a social networks post, Cork City Fire Brigade said: “Another pawsome river rescue was carried out last night.
“Swift water rescue groups got in the river to help an extremely cold and afraid dog who’s weeps had actually been heard by a passer by.”
The fire brigade included that the dog is on her method to making a complete healing.
