Dog rescue centres beneath extreme stress: ‘There’s no house wherever’

A Tipperary canine rescue centre has needed to shut its doorways to new entrants as a result of it’s unable to search out wherever to accommodate them.

The Haven Rescue Centre has stated it has been pressured to ship dogs to kennels as a result of all of its foster properties are full and there may be “no space anywhere else”.

It now believes it’s going to be “seriously over capacity” by the point the weekend comes.

Co-founder Jenny Nolan informed Newstalk there are a selection of the explanation why so many dogs are being surrendered.

“People just are not putting the thought into these animals,” she stated. “Dogs are going to be with you for 15 years, all going effectively.
