Dog Recovering from Surgical procedure After Being Hit By Stray Bullet in N.Y.C.

A six-year-old canine is now recovering after being shot by a youngster who police say was enjoying with a gun in Queens, N.Y., per PIX 11the New York Post and New York Daily News.

Arya, the Pomeranian and Husky combine (a “Pomsky”), was shot in her leg, and the bullet then wounded her colon, police stated. The canine was allegedly hit by a bullet shot by 18-year-old Joshua Marte round 1 a.m. Monday, April 22. The bullet went by way of the animal proprietor’s window and hit the canine.

On Monday morning, Arya’s proprietor “introduced the canine to the vet and he advised her [that] her canine had been shot,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated in a press briefing Tuesday, April 23, stories PIX 11. “The round pierced the dog’s leg, near its groin, and nicked its colon.”

Arya survived and is recovering from surgical procedure again home together with her homeowners, they advised the New York Post. But as of Monday’s surgical procedure, she was nonetheless unable to walk.
