A warning has been issued to canine house owners after an Isle of Wight seashore walk was a nightmare – because of an incident involving a fishing hook.
Lauren Scovell’s chocolate Labrador Tara was having fun with a walk on Sandown seashore by the Sundial cafe when she inadvertently swallowed a fishing hook.
It was feared she must have surgical procedure at a specialist vets to get it eliminated, however fortunately an invasive remedy was averted and the vets managed to get the hook out of Tara’s abdomen utilizing a scope.
Lauren, of Winford, stated she needed to warn different canine house owners as a result of she has since found there are many fishing hooks washed up on the seashore, in areas from Sandown by to Shanklin proper throughout the Bay.
