A warning has been issued to canine homeowners after an Isle of Wight seaside walk become a nightmare – due to an incident involving a fishing hook.
Lauren Scovell’s chocolate Labrador Tara was having fun with a walk on Sandown seaside by the Sundial cafe when she inadvertently swallowed a fishing hook.
It was feared she must have surgical procedure at a specialist vets to get it eliminated, however fortunately an invasive therapy was averted and the vets managed to get the hook out of Tara’s abdomen utilizing a scope.
Lauren, of Winford, stated she wished to warn different canine homeowners as a result of she has since found there are many fishing hooks washed up on the seaside, in areas from Sandown by means of to Shanklin proper throughout the Bay.
