A person has been charged after his dogs allegedly attacked and killed a sheep in Ayrshire.
The sheep was reportedly attacked by a Rottweiler and an Alsatian in a discipline close to to Lugton round 11am on Thursday. The animal later died from its accidents.
The 50-year-old canine proprietor was traced by police and charged with offences underneath the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953 and a report submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police in Ayrshire stated they’ve seen an increase in livestock worrying and urged canine homeowners to keep away from livestock and maintain their canine on a brief lead when there’s a likelihood livestock are close by.
