PHOENIX – A man brought 2 dogs on a walking at Piestewa Peak Wednesday afternoon – now, among the dogs is dead and another remains in healing.
According to Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller, very first responders were contacted us to the mountain at around 11:20 a.m. for reports of a 30-year-old man having a heat-related emergency situation about 300 lawns from the trailhead.

“Caller likewise specified that he had 2 dogs with him, both of them were struggling with heat disease,” said Keller.
One of the dogs passed away, and the other is being looked after by the Arizona Humane Society.
The condition of the man that was rescued is uncertain at this time.
Back in 2016, the city of Phoenix passed a guideline prohibiting dogs from the city’s routes when temperature levels reach 100 degrees or greater.
