ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCSC) – The American Red Cross is assisting an Orangeburg family after Friday afternoon structure fire.
Crews with the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety Fire Department reacted to Fall Street at 5:42 p.m.
Arriving firemens reported seeing light hazy smoke leaving the roofing. They made their method through the door and attempted to reduce the fire.
Crews likewise began to try to find individuals. They discovered nobody was within; nevertheless, they did discover 2 dogs.
“Firefighters started to render CPR to both dogs, and Orangeburg County EMS was notified for assistance,” the department of public safety mentioned in a Facebook post.
Fire authorities state among the dogs passed away, and the other made it through.
The fire was brought under control within 12 minutes of arrival. The department of public safety says the fire stemmed from the surface area of the range.
