OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A dog passed away in an Omaha house fire Friday afternoon.
According to the Omaha Fire Department, teams reacted to a house fire near 14th and Center Street at 2:28 p.m. Friday.
When teams arrived they saw heavy smoke originating from the two-story home and situated the fire in a bed room.
The fire was snuffed out, however the home continual heavy damage. The blaze triggered an approximated $45,000 in damage to the home and another $10,000 to its contents.
Nobody was home at the time of the occurrence, however OFD says a dog passed away in the fire. One individual was displaced as an outcome of the blaze.
OFD says the reason for the fire is still under examination.
