Cooper, the three-year-old Sprocker Spaniel, was bitten near a slagheap simply off Devonshire Road in Millom.
Shara Alias was walking him on Monday (July 3) near the old car wash building and park. The canine started hopping on the walk prior to establishing a temperature level and an inflamed paw.
The next day (July 4) his entire leg inflated prior to he was required to McKinney Veterinary Practice, Broughton in Furness, and after that onto Bay Vets in Lancaster.
Unfortunately, Cooper might not be saved and needed to be put to sleep by a veterinarian today (July 7).
Co-owner Adam Ivison said: “We’ve been to the veterinarians and stopped his suffering. He can rest now. It’s been a psychological couple of days a minimum of he’s not suffering now.”
The couple wishes to alert other dog owners in the location.
Adders are the only toxic snake in the UK. If you believe that your dog has actually been bitten by one it is extremely essential to get them to a veterinarian immediately.
