WOODBRIDGE, New Jersey (WABC) — Police are examining the obvious theft of a French bulldog called Enzo that is being held for ransom.
It occurred at an apartment building last Friday, May 5, in Woodbridge.
Owner Xavier Burgos informed cops he fulfilled among the suspects through a shared friend and the suspect had actually even been to his home a couple of times long prior to he chose to purchase a dog.
Burgos said the suspect wished to have a playdate considering that he already had 3 French bulldogs. They picked a playdate for the dogs at Sewaren Dog Park.
One suspect had a dog however the other informed Burgos the other 2 dogs were still at home.
Burgos said the suspects had him follow them to an apartment building to get the other dogs — however it was all a technique.
“When we arrive, they take their dog out, I take my dog out, they start playing once again in the parking area,” Burgos said. “I reversed and go inside my car genuine fast to inform my sweetheart and as I’m doing that, they nabbed my dog up, leapt in their car and sped off.”
Burgos said 5-month-old Enzo is being held for ransom and he was even sent threatening text.
“He asked me for $8,000 or he threatened to eliminate my dog or deliver my dog off to Virginia,” Burgos said.
Police are examining and state the family of the individual declaring to have Enzo is complying totally with their examination, however the suspect will not address his phone and has actually not been home.
Burgos is flooding social networks with the story in hopes it will help get his dog back. He said the car the suspects were driving was a Nissan SUV — a Rogue or Murano.
