FRANKLIN COUNTY – Dog licenses for the state of Maine are due by the tip of January. Register your canine now to keep away from late charges!

State regulation requires that each one dogs be licensed after the age of 6 months or 10 days after their adoption date. A $25 late charge can be charged beginning on Feb. 1; be sure you register your canine by subsequent Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The cost of registration differs relying in your canine. For “altered” dogs, which means dogs which were spayed or neutered, the registration charge is $6. For “unaltered” dogs, those that haven’t been spayed or neutered, the charge is $11. If registering for licenses on-line, the cost for every is $1 increased, which means $7 and $12 respectively.
