A canine who was lacking for almost two weeks has been reunited together with her homeowners after being rescued from a cliff edge.
Peppa had been lacking since August 12 earlier than being rescued by Abersoch Coastguard Rescue Team on cliffs close to Flint. On Wednesday, August 23, the coastguard mentioned they acquired the “unlikely” name {that a} canine matching Peppa’s description had been noticed on the cliffs after reviews from a fisherman and two coast path walkers, reports Wales Online.
The coastguard’s helicopter in addition to groups from the RNLI Porthdinllaen, Aberdaron Coastguard Rescue Team and Criccieth Coastguard Rescue crew have been tasked to the rescue mission on the clifftop between Ogof Pren-coch and Porth Orion where an extensive search was carried out.
Sharing photos from the rescue mission, Abersoch Coastguard said: “We were informed that a dog had been missing since 12 August and, unlikely as it seems, Peppa matches the description down to the pink collar.”
Friends of the owners have taken Peppa to reunite her with her owners. Commenting on the coastguard’s post, Rebecca Hull said: “We have Peppa here with us. She is doing incredibly well, considering her ordeal. Her owners are on their way to be reunited. Thank you to all involved in her rescue. What a lucky dog she is!”
Suzanna Clark also said her husband had alerted the emergency services after spotting Peppa. She said: “My husband spotted the dog and called emergency services. This photo brought a tear to our eye, knowing she’s safe and well, and family are on their way. I can’t imagine how the family feel.”
