RANCHO CORDOVA – Arson investigators are investigating a Saturday morning cellular home hearth that claimed the lifetime of a canine in Rancho Cordova.

Just after 5:00 a.m. Sacramento Metro Fire crews had been dispatched to stories of a construction hearth within the 100 block of Countess Way in Rancho Cordova, a Metro Fire spokesperson mentioned. Once on scene, firefighters found an cellular home that had caught hearth. Crews made a rapid knockdown on the blaze, containing it to a single unit and rescuing two cats within the course of. Unfortunately a canine was discovered deceased within the home.

There had been no smoke detectors within the home. The incident is being investigated as potential arson by Metro Fire arson investigators.
