SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) – A dog being strolled by its owner was struck and killed by a taken vehicle over the weekend, according to Salisbury Cops
Authorities state all of it began when a male drove his Nissan Altima to the O’Reilly’s automobile parts store on Fairson Opportunity in Salisbury simply after 6 p.m. Sunday. The male parked his vehicle however left the engine running when he strolled into the store.
Minutes later on, he stated he saw a male driving the vehicle out of the car park. As the victim was strolling back towards his house, he found the vehicle behind a house on South Link Street, according to police.
Cops state the male approached the vehicle and attempted to pull the driver out of the front door. That’s when the driver struck the gas to attempt and leave.
2 males were strolling in the location, among whom was strolling his dog. The males got on the front patio of a house to get out of the method, however the dog was struck by the vehicle, authorities stated. The vehicle then struck the apartment prior to the carjacker ranged from the scene, according to an authorities report.
A witness informed WBTV that shots were fired. Cops verified that shell cases were discovered at the scene however no injuries were reported.
