Dog house owners sad with $58 million plan for brand spanking new bike path in Sepulveda Basin

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The Sepulveda Basin Off-Leash Dog Park is a well-liked place for native canine house owners and their 4 legged buddies.

Some canine house owners are attempting to face off with the town of Los Angeles over a plan to build a brand new bike path and fence within the Sepulveda Basin proper subsequent to the canine park.


Locals say they don’t seem to be too happy about these concepts as a result of it’s going to minimize into their beloved canine park.

They say one answer is to alter the bike path over to the south aspect of the L.A. River.

They say the land and baseball fields there are empty.

Dog house owners on the park inform Eyewitness News they are not huge followers of the brand new bike path as a result of their dogs are afraid of bicycles and bike paths exist already close by.

“My canine, personally, they do not like skateboards. They don’t love bikes. They have had unhealthy experiences prior to now, so they’re triggered and it does scare them,” stated canine proprietor Leslie Robledo.
