Dog Grooming Academy of Indianapolis in Noblesville is accepting purposes for brand new cohort

Aspiring canine groomers are in luck. A brand new academy is opening in Noblesville at 15310 Herriman Blvd. and is accepting new college students.

The Dog Grooming Academy of Indianapolis, in the identical building as DogDayz Playhouse & Retreat, is accepting purposes for a brand new cohort of scholars. Students will learn to groom, bathe, trim and elegance, together with well being and security, canine dealing with and customer support abilities, in accordance with the organization.

The programs embrace 144 hours of instruction, in accordance with proprietor Brian Cottrell, who lives in Noblesville. He stated he opened the academy as a result of it has been difficult discovering certified skilled groomers.

The director of instruction is Lawrence resident Pam Casey. She has 20 years of general expertise within the discipline and eight years of expertise as an teacher.

“I am very excited to help open up the school because there is such a shortage of groomers,” Casey stated. “There just doesn’t seem to be enough to go around.”

Classes are scheduled to begin Jan. 8, 2024, though Cottrell stated they might have a late-August to early November class. Evening lessons are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to eight:30 p.m. Day lessons are Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday lessons are 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

According to the academy’s web site, tuition and instruments/tools complete $6,400.
