The sad reality is that some animals hoping for their forever homes are overlooked by potential adopters. To help with this, some animal shelters will even put on special events for their long-term residents and still nothing. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see them confused as to why no one wants them.
A North Carolina-based animal shelter, known on TikTok as @adoptionfirstncrecently posted about one of their dogs that is not having any luck. This precious dog has even put his best paw forward for his future family, but no luck. Be prepared as you watch this very sad clip.

Ugh, poor Mushu! We can’t believe this dog even dressed up in a tux to get his future family to notice him. Who wouldn’t give this precious dog the time of day?! Just look at his sweet and adorable face!
“Hope you find your family soon Mushu,” commented @alexkotarbaxo. SAME! That’s truly all we want in life. He deserves nothing but a loving home filled with snuggles and treats. Another TikToker, @shturner, added, “Your special person is coming.” We believe that with our whole heart. You just hang in there sweetie and you’ll be home soon enough.
In an updated video, this animal shelter said Mushu is still looking for his forever family. Ugh, why don’t you just rip our hearts out?!
