A skeletal canine was discovered useless after it was tied to a water trough on farmland and left to die within the wild. It was discovered by a passerby at 4.30pm on Tuesday (December 5) who reported it to the RSPCA, and is assumed to have frozen to loss of life within the freezing temperatures.

“The images of him lying there alone in the mud are difficult to look at. It’s hard to comprehend how someone can deliberately leave an emaciated dog in circumstances like this and just walk away, but sadly all the signs indicate this is what happened.”
