SAN ANTONIO – A canine whose proprietor allowed him to attack and chunk a person within the neck has been euthanized, an official with Animal Care Services confirmed.
ACS spokesperson Lisa Norwood stated the canine related with the attack on Sept. 21 was humanely euthanized on Monday.
San Antonio police stated the incident occurred as the boys have been arguing close to the intersection of North Colorado and West Martin.
Marcus Davila, 40, “intentionally allowed his large dog to attack the victim,” police beforehand stated.
The man who was bitten is 53 years old. He had critical lacerations to the left aspect of his neck and required a number of surgical procedures, Norwood beforehand stated.
Davila was charged with aggravated assault with a lethal weapon and harmful canine attack with critical bodily harm, each felony expenses.
He is out on bond and awaiting indictment, in response to court docket data.
The canine, which was a cane corso, was taken into the custody of ACS that day.
A decide dominated for the canine to be euthanized earlier this month.
