YPSILANTI, MI — A canine died after coming in touch with a reside, downed energy line within the yard of an Ypsilanti home Sunday, Aug. 27, officers confirmed.
Ypsilanti Fire Department Captain Jameson Schultz mentioned the division responded to the scene on the 400 block of North Mansfield round 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Schultz assumes the ability line was knocked down through the Thursday, Aug. 24, storm. He mentioned the downed energy line was marked with cautionary tape, however the issue had not been addressed any additional.

David Akerly, a spokesman for DTE Energy, mentioned crews have been dispatched Sunday night to resolve the downed energy line. He mentioned, as of Sunday night, he was unaware of the small print surrounding the canine’s dying.
“We ask anyone to remain 25 feet (the length of a school bus) away and to keep children and pets well clear,” Akerly mentioned in an announcement.
