Big Rapids citizens try to reunite a roaming dog with her owner after she took a flight on a dial-a-ride shuttle by herself.
The female dog was just recently discovered at the Marathon filling station in Big Rapids, according to the Animal Rescue Coalition of Mecosta Countythe county’s sole animal shelter. The shelter is at 18400 220th Ave. in Big Rapids.
“She jumped on the dial-a-ride bus without paying her fare!” The shelter composed in a Thursday Facebook postwith almost 100 engagements since this writing.
The neighborhood is assisting to look for the owner. And some neighborhood members discovered the story capitivating.
“We saw her trotting through town. She must have been running late for the bus,” LeAnna Stanek composed in a remark.
“She doesn’t have pockets to carry fare money, poor girl,” Ashly Larson composed in another.
“She had places to go and things to do. Hope she gets safely home,” Melissa Hammer composed.
