A dog was discovered ’emaciated’ on a Glasgow roadway after a man was challenged over the state of the animal.
The female Staffordshire bull terrier was handed to a member of the general public by a man following the confrontation on Dumbarton Road at Whiteinch on July 31.
She is now in the care of among the Scottish SPCA’s rehoming centres, with the charity releasing an examination into the event.

Scottish SPCA inspector, Gillian Dick, said, “The dog is a tan, adult female Staffordshire bull terrier type dog. She remains in very poor condition and emaciated.
“She was handed to a member of the general public by a man after they challenged him about the state of the dog.
“He declared the dog came from his friend.

“We are eager to talk to the individual who was taking care of the dog and the individual who owns her. Unfortunately, she is not microchipped so we are not able to trace any owner information.
