WASHINGTON (7News) — A canine died after being hit by an worker at a doggy daycare facility in D.C. Friday, Feb. 16, based on firm officers.
The canine was boarding at District Dogs’ Navy Yard location when officers mentioned it was “physically struck” by an worker.
The canine was taken to a close-by veterinary facility, however couldn’t be revived, based on officers.

The worker has since been terminated and officers mentioned they’re totally cooperating with an investigation into the incident.
“The District Dogs family is heartbroken over this incident and extends its sincere condolences to the family of the dog, and we grieve their loss at this profoundly difficult time,” officers mentioned in a press release.
This comes after 10 dogs drowned at a District Dogs location in Northeast D.C. and several other others needed to be rescued after flash flooding in August 2023.
