EAST PALO ALTO – A one-year-old kid suffered serious injuries after being assaulted by a dog in an East Palo Alto area on Wednesday night.
Around 7:20 p.m., officers were contacted us to a home on the 800 block of Shembri Lane. Police said showing up officers “quickly did something about it to guarantee the kid’s safety” and took steps to manage and secure the dog, which they referred to as “aggressive.”
Firefighters from the Menlo Park Fire District and emergency situation medical workers were likewise generated to treat the kid. The 1-year-old was then sent to a close-by medical facility for more treatment.
Police said animal control officers from the Peninsula Humane Society were likewise generated. The dog was securely eliminated from the home and is under the care of animal control, cops said.
“We are carefully keeping track of the kid’s condition, and our hearts head out to the family impacted by this ravaging event,” cops said Thursday.
