Two Sierra Vista ladies were arraigned on charges associating with a deadly dog attack that left an elderly lady dead.
The ladies were recognized as 43-year-old Shimira Sanches and 35-year-old Ashlee Sanches, the Sierra Vista cops, fire and EMS shared on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
In an earlier post shared in June, authorities said the occurrence happened on June 23 at a home near Meadowlark Drive and Calle Del Norte, after getting reports of a dog attack.
Officers got here to discover a man being assaulted by a dog in the lawn of the home. The dog was killed by cops and the man was required to a regional health center in vital condition.
Soon after, another dog faced the lawn, which police killed too. Officers then browsed the location and discovered a hurt lady in the street behind the home. Her dog was lying dead near her, authorities said. She was likewise required to a health center where she passed away.
The lady was recognized as 84-year-old Helene Jackson.
It was not instantly clear how authorities linked the 2 to the dog attacks.
The 2 ladies were arraigned on charges of murder, irresponsible murder, attack by a vicious animal, and aggressive dog infraction and are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5, according to the Facebook post shared on Tuesday.
