An elderly man remains in health center after being assaulted by a dog that trampled his animal to death.
The Spearwood grandpa, Frank, had actually simply gone back to the driveway of his home after taking his seven-year-old dog Mika for a walk when the unrestrained Staffy introduced itself at them.
10 News First reported Frank was bitten on the face and hand throughout the vicious attack, while Mika was injured so terribly that she needed to be put down.
“The Staffy was jumping up on him, trying to get the dog (Mika) out of his arms,” Frank’s granddaughter Montana Raffa informed 10 News First, including the dog had actually ”taken an innocent dog far from their own family”.
While Frank, who had “blood all over his face”, was being hurried to health center, his ravaged partner Adela Raffa was required to make the heart-wrenching choice to end Mika’s discomfort.
“There was just nothing they (vets) could do for her,” she said.
The elderly couple explained Mika as a wise and caring buddy who they thought about a member of their family.
“I don’t think I’ll ever have a dog like her. She was just so smart,” Ms Raffa said.
The City of Cockburn is supposedly examining the event, with the four-year-old Staffy taken by rangers.
“He (the Staffy) shouldn’t have just had a leash, he should’ve had something that he would not have been able to bite my dog,” Ms Raffa said.
10 News First reported that another local in the location had actually formerly made 2 grievances about the Staffy, after the dog presumably performed at her and her young child.
