A fast-thinking police officer got here to the rescue of a canine who was in hassle within the water at Tennyson on Friday.
About 9.40am on Friday 8 September, police and emergency providers have been known as to an space close to Bluelake Court after experiences {that a} girl had paddled a kayak into the river to rescue her canine Juice, who had swam out to the center of the water.
The girl fell out of the kayak and was rescued by one other member of the general public earlier than police arrived.
An officer from Western District patrols utilised the kayak and paddled out to rescue Juice.
The officer was in a position to make it safely again to shore with Juice aboard the kayak.
