Dog Allegedly Shot By Teen Dies, Owner Vows to Battle for Gun Management (Unique)

The proprietor of the canine that was shot on Monday, April 22, tells PEOPLE that her beloved pet has died.

Lisa Murena, tells PEOPLE completely that her “Pomsky” (Pomeranian and Husky combine) named Arya died Friday morning, April 26, a results of a stray bullet piercing her canine’s colon.

Murena tells PEOPLE on Friday that Arya was doing higher, however “then the [vet] known as [her] at like 1:30 this morning. And they tried to resuscitate her for quarter-hour, and it simply wasn’t working.”

The canine was allegedly hit by a bullet shot by 18-year-old Joshua Marte Monday, per a NYPD assertion shared with PEOPLE. Murena beforehand informed PEOPLE that on Monday morning, her brother Sal “heard glass shatter round 1:00 within the morning,” including that her household didn’t “hear any gunshots” however “heard the glass in my mother and father’ bed room shatter.”

“She didn’t deserve this. She was an incredible canine,” says Murena. “She loved everybody. And I always told her, ‘Not everyone is your friend.’ ”

“I mean, it could have been anyone in my household. It could have been my seven-year-old niece,” Murena additionally beforehand shared with PEOPLE. “It could have been anyone. I don’t know why illegal guns are still allowed on the streets. I have no idea.”
