Dog abandoned in garbage bag making strides at Gravesend animal rescue

Nanook reached OR 2 weeks back in really poor condition.

“She was so bad, she could not get up, she could not move. Only her head,” said AMA president and co-founder Mariya Vlasova.

Police officers said they discovered Nanook inside a trash can disposed of in between 2 automobiles on Church Avenue. She was significantly malnourished and dehydrated.

“Her legs, the saddest part… particularly her back legs, there was no muscles at all. It was simply bone and skin since of the pressure sores all over her legs. She was kept in a tight dog crate for a prolonged time period,” Vlasova explained.

Angels For Mistreated Animals, a rescue and rehab organization that deals with mistreated and ignored animals, made it their objective to help Nanook return on her feet.
