DETROIT LAKES, M.N. (NewsDakota.com) – A Detroit Lakes unique education instructor is fundraising for a four-legged option to trainee tension this academic year.
Jessica Johnson, an unique education instructor at an intermediate school in Detroit Lakes, is dealing with the school board to get a convenience dog for trainees. Johnson says research study programs convenience dogs considerably assist with psychological health by lowering tension, stress and anxiety, and aggressive habits.
“The dog would come to school with me every day and spend some of its time in my special education classroom, some time working with students in the guidance counselor’s office, and some time in a few regular education classrooms,” Johnson said.
Johnson established a GoFundMe to purchase Comet, the convenience dog, from an organization called Interquest CARES due to their substantial training.
