Hollie Veryard, 31, noticed her pet canine vanish into ‘skinny air’ after she let her off the lead whereas on a mountain walk with a pal.
She was looking the highest of Pen-Pych Mountain in Rhondda, South Wales, when she noticed ‘sinkhole’ crevices within the floor.
Hollie stated: ‘We had received to the highest and there was a flat bit so I made a decision to let her off to have a run round however once I referred to as her again to place her on lead she had vanished into skinny air.
‘I used to be calling and calling her however nothing occurred and I knew she would not run off as a result of she’s not like that.
‘I went again to the place I misplaced her and I noticed all these little sinkholes within the floor.’
Hollie, from Verwood in Dorset, stated she struggled to find the canine however was helped by one other walker who ‘dangled’ down the holes with somebody holding him by the ankles.
She stated: ‘We discovered she was down one of many holes about 10 metres down simply on a bit ledge.’
