DC mom devastated after remedy canine is killed in hit-and-run months after son’s homicide

A canine proprietor is devastated after her canine was hit and killed whereas they had been on a walk in Southeast D.C. Monday evening.

According to a police report, the incident occurred round 9:30 p.m. within the 3900 block of Wheeler Rd SE, between Valley Avenue and Blakney Lane, SE.

The sufferer advised police she and her canine Bruno had been walking down the road when the automotive got here up behind them and jumped the curb. The proprietor advised FOX 5 that the automotive simply barely missed her as got here by and as an alternative, it was Bruno who was struck.

The automotive fled down the road and the proprietor was left horror-stricken, seeing that Bruno had not survived.

Bruno was the remedy canine that she acquired after her son, 33-year-old Denzel Greenwood, was murdered over the summer season.

A suspect has not but been arrested for his homicide. Now, his mom is left grieving each him and her beloved canine.
