A dapper dog in a wise blue t-shirt needed to be rescued by authorities since its owner was “drunk” and “wasn’t looking after it” – regardless of dressing it up for a getaway.

British Transport Police in Black Country were warned of the poor care of the canine’s well-being after getting a text on Friday 18 August. Officers state the owner was “intoxicated and not adequately caring for her dog ”, after they participated in the scene to look at its well-being and examine if any offenses were occurring.

The police officers shared a photo of the dog dressed up in a blue cotton t-shirt and looking unamused at the circumstance, staying up with a straight back and looking straight down the lens of the video camera . The very same can’t be said for the pleasant copper sat next to him hanging on with a red lead, smiling with his thumbs up – in what was most likely a cuter encounter than he is utilized to.

BTP included: “Officers participated in and guaranteed the well-being of the dog whilst additional queries are continuous to develop any offenses.” A social networks user asked: “Did you dress the dog up simply for the picture?” The officers responded: “Can verify the style criminal offense was not our doing!”

Another extreme critic called Dank Microwave asked the authorities: “How do I report a crime? That shirt is a fashion crime.” Others were more inviting of the four-pawed buddy and his sharp t-shirt, with one stating “looking dapper in his lil outfit”, while others chimed “he’s wearing people clothes!” and “brilliant”.

And one lady was more puzzled in her reaction to the dressed up dog – who searches in the image as if he’s associated the BTP to keep Birmingham’s streets in order. She said: “Wtf is that dog wearing? Bizarre! Good job.”
