A Dannevirke girl has been convicted and discharged for proudly owning a canine that attacked and hospitalised her young son.

Ayla Sutton appeared in Dannevirke District Court on Friday for sentence over the “severe” December 5 assault.

Judge Bruce Northwood stated in a letter to the court docket Sutton had defined the canine was tied up through the day however launched into an enclosed space at different instances.
