A girl who alleges she was mauled by an award-winning canine breeder’s Belgian Malinois has likened the supposed assault to somebody “tearing via” her leg with a knife.
Margaret Peacock, 69, who has received awards at Crufts, is accused of being in control of the canine whereas it was dangerously uncontrolled and attacking Natasha Turner – to which she has pleaded not responsible.
The canine breeder was claimed throughout a trial at Salisbury Crown Court docket this week to have tried to seize a screwdriver to cease the animal, named Mako.
Prosecutor Sian Beaven informed the court docket that, after the alleged assault, the defendant started shopping for Ms Turner presents to dissuade her from calling the police.
However the canine breeder claims that Ms Turner was in truth attacked by stray canines in close by woods – and that the presents have been a results of being blackmailed by her.
Ms Turner visited the defendant’s house in Farnborough, Hampshire, on 1 February final 12 months to do some DIY and go to her personal canine, which was staying there, the court docket was informed.
Ms Peacock was required below a canine behaviour contract to maintain Mako below management at house due to a earlier incident, prosecutor Sian Beaven informed the court docket.
