CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville Fire Rescue rescued a dog from a storm drain at Valleybrook Park Saturday early morning.
At around 10:47 a.m., teams were dispatched to a dog caught down a storm drain at the park near Crossland Avenue and Second Street, CFR said in a declaration.
A white Dachshund called Oskar had actually gone after an opossum down the drain, and the owners couldn’t recover the dog, CFR said.
Battalion 1, District 1, Squad 1 and Engine 1 reacted and established command.
Squad 1 established a tripod and dropped into the drain to recover Oskar. “He was reunited with his family,” CFR said. “The opossum got away.”
