On January 15 this year, a 53-year-old regional male was out strolling his dog in Waterlea, Crawley, when he discovered his good friend, authorities stated.
Authorities stated they started talking, prior to they were approached by 26-year-old Callum Beale, of close-by Greenacres, who required they move far from the location.
This turned into an argument, prior to Beale punched the victim a number of times, triggering facial injuries, authorities included.
Authorities were called and Beale was detained for attack occasioning real physical damage, Sussex Authorities reported. Authorities stated he declared he acted in self-defence after the victim held him in a headlock, however witness reports opposed his claims.
Authorities stated Beale was charged with the offense and pleaded innocent, however was condemned by jury at Lewes Crown Court on October 14.
He was sentenced to 27 months’ jail time and purchased to pay a ₤ 190 victim additional charge, authorities included.
