A couple’s dream wedding event in Italy remains in jeopardy after their dog chewed up the groom’s passport, less than 2 weeks prior to the event.
South Boston native Donato Frattaroli informed WCVB that he and his fiancé had actually gone to town hall to complete marital relationship kinds on Thursday.
But they returned home a couple of hours later on to discover their dog had actually triggered a significant obstacle – by chewing up his passport.
The year-and-a-half-old golden retriever, Chickie, had actually feasted on several pages, rendering it worthless.
Now, the couple are frantically attempting to secure a replacement and are asking regional authorities for help.
Frattaroli informed WCVB: “I’m just a little stressed. Luckily, Congressman (Stephen) Lynch’s office and Sen. (Ed) Markey’s office have been super responsive.
“They’ve been in touch, at least with me and the State Department, to try to expedite things and get a new passport.
“Keep my fingers crossed and, hopefully, everything will work itself out.”
The couple are scheduled to fly to Italy this Friday.
The groom-to-be said if he can’t secure a passport prior to their flight, he would remain at home while his fiancé and their wedding event visitors go to Italy.
He included he would simply fulfill the wedding event celebration when they go back to the United States.
