A pair and their canine have been killed after being struck by a automotive whereas out for a walk. The man and girl, of their 60s, and their pet had been struck by a BMW yesterday.
The black X5 hit the trio at round 1.45pm and the driving force remained on the scene. Police officers investigating the collision have appealed to the general public as a part of their probe.
The incident took place in Bearsted, Maidstone, and police have referred to as on any witnesses to the accident to get in contact. A spokesman added the driving force remained on the scene and no arrests have been made.
A spokesman for Kent Police stated: “At round 1.40pm on Saturday 20 January 2024, the driving force of a black BMW X5 was concerned in a collision with two pedestrians who had been walking a canine in Thurnham Lane.
“Officers attended the scene together with South East Coast Ambulance Service the place each pedestrians, a person and a girl of their 60s, together with the canine, had been pronounced deceased on the scene.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has another data or dashcam footage previous to, or on the time of the collision, is urged to name Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.”
