North Yorkshire citizens are being motivated to discuss the guidelines for walking dogs at seaside places.
A public assessment has actually introduced today (August 21) on the existing Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in the Filey, Scarborough and Whitby location.
The PSPO lays out locations in which a dog should be placed on a lead when directed, guidelines around dog fouling and any dog exemption locations.
North Yorkshire Council says the PSPO remains in location to help to make sure everybody can “delight in the open areas and beaches in this part of the county and to help to secure wildlife”. Unless extended, the existing PSPO will pertain to an end in January 2024.
The Council is advising the general public to share their views on whether the procedures presently in location are still affordable, whether anything requires altering or whether any other locations would gain from some form of control.
The council’s executive member for handling our environment, Cllr Greg White, said:
“The PSPO relating to dog control in the Filey, Scarborough and Whitby location guarantees everybody can enjoy our public areas without jeopardizing on safety or tidiness.
