COMPTON, Calif. — A Compton man who could have been breeding pit bulls was mauled to dying in a yard, authorities stated Friday.
The 35-year-old man died after he was attacked Thursday evening, Los Angeles County authorities stated.
His identify wasn’t instantly launched.
The man’s girlfriend found his physique in a kennel space Friday morning and known as authorities, the Sheriff’s Department stated.
The man had been feeding the dogs when a few of the animals could have begun combating and “then ultimately attacked and mauled the victim,” sheriff’s Lt. Michael Gomez informed KTLA-TV.
The man could have been breeding and promoting pit bulls as a result of investigators discovered 13 dogs, together with eight puppies, within the yard, authorities stated.
The dogs had been turned over to county animal management officers.
